HRIS Workflow Routing

If you have an HRIS like iVantage®, your HR system is one of your biggest time–savers. Our HR software makes it easy to simplify administrative tasks, improve communications and automate processes.

With workflow routing, you define your processes and determine where it is appropriate for the process to start. For example, an employee can enter his time-taken-off, submit it to their manager for approval, the manager can approve or deny the route directly from the e-mail notification, and HR gets notified for informational purposes. HR determines who should receive, review, edit and approve requests and notifications directly from your HR system. With editable routing, recipients can make changes to the routing without interrupting or halting the routing process. Workflow routing and approval is a simple four–part process in our HRIS—

  • Workflow creation—HR, a manager or an employee makes a request via self-service
  • Routing & processing—iVantage notifies recipients via e–mail that they need to review, approve or deny.
  • The recipient can manage the route without logging in, directly from the e-mail.
  • Status tracking & notification—During routing, iVantage automatically stores a record of the actions taken on the request and notifies the originating party
  • Finalizing & confirming—Upon approval, iVantage processes the changes and forwards a confirmation to the originator

You can route just about anything in the iVantage HRIS, including—

  • Time–off requests
  • Personnel action notices
  • Training and enrollment requests
  • Performance reviews
  • Requisitions
  • New hires and terminations
